Experience Summary
Two plus years applied experience in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Field Application. Using root cause analysis, I find the underlying issues in systems and then check to see if the area is running the “5S” system that I have been implementing on areas I have become involved so that we can eventually be running a 6 sigma facility. From there I check to see where the bottleneck in the system is and find if it can be streamlined to no longer be the bottleneck. Once I find the bottleneck of the system I begin doing time studies on all products that go through that individual process. From there we can project our lead times and manufacturing yields more efficiently. Lately I have been utilized more as a project manager for newer customers and more custom style projects. I work closely with the customer to receive the information on what end result they want to see, and then relay that into CAD drawings where we have to work on some engineering difficulties to find ways around manufacturing difficulties if the certain product were to go into a larger scale production.
Work Experience –
Marco Company (2014-Present)
Project Manager - Responsible for collecting broad information from the customer or sales representative and then creating a production schedule for creating the desired product by the desired date. In doing this, I have good communication with plant management to find ways to manufacture the items in order to achieve the desired product while keeping high efficiency. Many times the customer does not know exactly how different processes work within manufacturing and only know about the end result that is desired. I take their idea and collaborate with our drafters to make something that is capable of being mass produced using our manufacturing machinery.
Assistant Manager of Operations - Analyzing the manufacturing plant for ways to optimize the throughput as well as finding where bottlenecks occur in the system in order to minimize system problems and issues and to maximize improvement in production.
Little Skylark (2010-2013)
Customer Service and Safety – While attending Texas A&M I took on a part time job at the local dance hall. I checked ID’s and kept people safe throughout the night.
Horseshoe Bay Resort - Cap Rock (2005-2009)
Member Services – I was in charge or keeping the equipment clean and in working order for members and visitors to use. This was a part time job while I was still in high school and saving some money for my future in college.
