Lead all aspects of engineering for the light tower product line. Provide guidance and supervision to engineering and design staff ensuring design goals and cost targets are met. Coordinate with Product Management to plan and manage new product introduction projects to meet customer needs. Create, analyze, and approve new designs using Solidworks / Windchill. Collaborate with Strategic Global Sourcing, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality to evaluate and select suppliers and resolve supplier quality issues to ensure a defect-free product.
• Developed industry-leading multi-speed LED light tower product line, achieving per unit costs 16% under cost target while meeting all design goals including: extended run-time and service intervals and 50% reduction in end user fuel costs.
