Reported to head of Order Related Engineering. Responsible for analyzing, validating and endorsing specifications and design requirements.
• Proposed alternative selection for valves which resulted in savings of $42,000 for Sulzer and avoided potential delivery delay of 3 weeks.
• Performed stretch assignment as the Project Engineer for a major order (Transcanada) with complete corporate and client satisfaction. Establishing a good reputation for Sulzer in vertical pump delivery.
• Prepared engineering drawings and bills of materials of engineered-to-order pump components, assemblies, and equipment. Through methodical self-checking, manufacturing errors and associated costs were reduced by 50%.
• Modified and revised designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Ensured on time delivery by correcting mechanical fit issues (Dow Chemical), preventing a 4 week delay on pump components.
